Educational, mental health, and individualized supports.

The Ottawa Mission’s Client Services offers case management that helps you achieve educational, financial, or wellbeing goals, find work, access mental health supports, and more.

Client Services is open Monday-Friday:

  • 8:00am – 12:00pm
  • 1:00pm – 4:00pm

MCA Ottawa Stepping Stones Learning Centre

The MCA Stepping Stones Learning Centre (SSLC) is The Ottawa Mission’s small but impactful classroom.

SSLC is open to shelter clients and anyone in need within the community.

Staffed by an OCDSB teacher, we can help you obtain your high school diploma, complete or apply for college or university, improve your literacy skills, and much more.

Discovery University

You can learn at a university level.

Discovery University offers non-credited university-level courses to people living on low incomes or experiencing homelessness, taught by instructors from Ottawa’s universities – Carleton University, University of Ottawa and Saint Paul University.

Case Management Support

Client Services case managers help you meet self-identified goals, which may include housing, education, employment, finances, substance use, health, and so much more.

Mental Health Support

In partnership with the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) and The Royal, The Ottawa Mission can provide you with access to psychiatric and psychological supports, including crisis intervention, relapse prevention, or coping strategies.

Ongoing mental health supports are also available to help you maintain and thrive in housing.

Power of Expression Art Program

The Power of Expression Arts Program is a free supportive art workshop for vulnerable community members.

Offered through a partnership with Arts Court and the Ottawa Art Gallery, Ottawa Mission and community clients may drop in and participate in the program at any time.
