MCA Ottawa Stepping Stones Learning Centre

The MCA Ottawa Stepping Stones Learning Centre (SSLC) is an impactful classroom found within The Ottawa Mission.

Through a partnership with the Ottawa Carleton District School Board (OCDSB), our in-shelter teacher can help you obtain credits towards your high school diploma, apply for post-secondary, improve your literacy or English skills, and more.

Stepping Stones Learning Centre is open to both shelter clients and those in need within the community.

SSLC educational offerings include:

  • independent study to obtain high school credits
  • post-secondary application and sponsorship assistance
  • tutoring for Mission job training program students
  • English Club, for newcomers to practice their English
  • support for our addiction and trauma programs
