Join Our Kitchen Volunteer Team
Help our Food Services team prepare and serve nutritious, home-cooked meals. As a kitchen volunteer, you’ll see how good food makes a real difference for people experiencing poverty and homelessness in Ottawa.

Volunteer in Our Laundry Room
Volunteer in The Mission’s laundry room to help guests feel at home. Support housekeeping by sorting, folding, and organizing clean linens to ensure a steady supply of fresh sheets and towels.

Volunteer in Our Clothing Room
Sort, organize, and stock clothing donations to ensure that guests can access a full array of well-organized clothing for job interviews, work, and everyday life.

Shipping and Receiving
Support our day-to-day operations by sorting incoming supplies and organizing deliveries. This hands-on role is ideal for those who enjoy physical work.

Here’s what you need to know!
Step 1: Fill out your volunteering application and tell us about yourself.
Step 2: Onsite interview and orientation.We’ll discuss which areas you are interested in supporting and when you would like to volunteer.
Step 3: We’ll provide you with training and everything you need to know, so you can get started!
Group Volunteering
Group volunteering is a meaningful way to give back together. Support kitchen, housekeeping, or maintenance, or sponsor activities like making sandwiches or creating hope packages for our Addiction and Trauma Services programs.
