“I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.”
Dear Friend, A special thank you for your monthly donations that provide hope and encouragement to those who come to The Ottawa Mission looking for help. As a Champion of Hope, you are making a difference all year round in the lives of the people we serve – people like Adam and Emile.
Adam’s traumatic childhood, including the violent deaths of two of his siblings, led him down the path to addiction at an early age. It’s now been more than 8 years since Adam came to The Mission looking for help. He completed our LifeHouse residential addiction program and has been sober ever since.
He now volunteers at The Mission providing the benefit of his experience to others who are struggling. Emile was working part-time and relying on social assistance to make ends meet when he learned about The Mission’s Food Services Training Program. Emile had worked in food services in the past, but didn’t have the right credentials to make a career out of it.
During our five month program, he gained the skills and knowledge he needed to get a good job, and he is now able to support himself. There are so many stories like these at The Mission and, as a faithful donor, you have a special part in the lives of each of these people. Because you are so important to us, we would be delighted to show you first-hand how your dollars are making a difference.
Thank you and God bless you.
