The Ottawa Mission Board of Directors is very pleased to announce that after a thorough and extensive national search, it has chosen the new Executive Director of The Ottawa Mission. The successful candidate is Peter Tilley who will begin his new role on June 3rd.

Peter has spent the past 14 years as Executive Director of the Ottawa Food Bank. He has grown that organization into one of the most successful and well-respected Food Banks in Canada.

“We couldn’t be happier that the best person for the job is someone from Ottawa who has already spent years helping people in need,” says Jennifer Parr, President of The Ottawa Mission Board of Directors. “Peter knows how to work collaboratively with other agencies, which we believe will be important for The Ottawa Mission going forward.” Tilley will replace Diane Morrison as Executive Director at The Ottawa Mission. Diane retired in January, after 20 years in the position.

“I’ve worked closely with The Ottawa Mission for many years during my time at the Food Bank. I admire and respect the work it does to help some of the most vulnerable people in our community”, says Peter Tilley. “I see this as an opportunity to tackle new challenges. I look forward to expanding on the work I’ve been doing to help people in our community.”
