Applications for our spring 2026 cohort are now closed.
The Maintenance Services Training Program (MSTP) is a no-cost, work-based learning program offered through The Ottawa Mission.
It provides hands-on training, certifications, and real work experience to help participants become building superintendents and maintenance workers. The program supports people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in gaining lasting employment.
We don’t expect applicants to come in with experience. We’re looking for people with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a desire to grow.
To apply for the program:
- You must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and able to provide proof
- You must be able to pass a Level 2 police records check (we will cover the cost)
- A valid Ontario driver’s license is a strong asset but not required.
Skills. Practice. Employment.
Help build a path to stability with the MSTP
There are many ways to support or partner with the MSTP, including work placement opportunities. We’d love to connect!
