A Journey to Independence: A Walk Through Adam McCauley’s Story
RSVP: Register via Zoom
Adam McCauley is a former client, one of many whose life has changed because of your support. Adam had a traumatic upbringing; his parents struggled with addiction leaving him with no support and abandoned by the age of 12 which led to his years of living on the streets. Drugs and alcohol became the only coping mechanism he had to survive. That is, until one day – Adam made his way to The Ottawa Mission. What happened for Adam once he walked through The Mission’s Blue Doors, was so transformative, that he is now living independently and celebrating 14 years of sobriety. He’s got a new lease on life and has the goal to share with as many people as he can, that while it is a lot of work, it is possible to get out of the cycle of trauma, addiction and homelessness.
As a valued supporter, you are invited to join us on June 23rd, 2022 at 2:00pm for our new webinar series, Behind the Blue Door, where Adam will be personally sharing his story and journey to independence. Adam will be joined by by Shaun Baron (Chair, Board of Directors), Peter Tilley (CEO, The Ottawa Mission) and Laura Robinson (Addiction/ Trauma Services), for a candid and in-depth chat about the services we provide our clients Behind the Blue Door.
