Corporate Team Volunteering
Have a positive impact on our
community and your employees.
Become an Ottawa Mission Corporate Volunteer.
Every week hundreds of volunteers work alongside our trained staff to ensure we meet the needs of people who are homeless, hungry and hurting. Through our Corporate Giving Program, we are pleased to provide volunteer opportunities for employee groups. Experience the impact that your company can make in the lives of the people we serve, while inspiring your employees and boosting morale.
Team building can be life-changing!
Join us at The Ottawa Mission for a life-changing experience of team volunteering.
Experiences include working in our kitchen, serving meals, sorting donations, hosting a special activity for our clients or assembling sandwiches or Hope Packages for clients. The Mission’s staff will work with you to develop an activity that your employees won’t soon forget.
Whether it’s folding the washed sheets for our 236 shelter beds, cutting vegetables for the 1,400+ meals we serve on average every day, or helping to keep our clothing room tidy, general volunteering can be one of the most vital contributions groups can make.
Remember, The Mission’s corporate engagement opportunities are available to fit all your needs and offer strategic investment to meet your corporate social responsibility objectives.

Hope Packages are little bags of candies with handwritten hopeful messages attached that we offer to clients attending our Addictions programs. Your group is welcome to prepare as many or little as you wish (responsibility of volunteer group to cover cost of materials, approx. $150).
We serve between 1200-1600 sandwiches per week! Sandwiches are offered as after meal snacks for those who have missed our mealtimes, or used in bagged lunches for our clients who have started working again but do not have the means to provide themselves with a takeaway lunch (responsibility of volunteer group to cover cost of materials, approx. $200 – $250).
Snack Bag Program:
We aim to offer small snack bags to participants in a wide range of programs whenever possible. These snack bags encourage participation in our programs and activities while also offering our clients a nutritious energy boost. Any group that wishes to support our snack bag program can purchase ingredients (such as nuts and dried fruit) and package them into snack-sized bags (responsibility of volunteer group to cover cost of materials, approx. $150).
